Me thinks in MI your frost depth is way more than 2 feet, even here we go 32-36" minimum. How thick was the center? They have already proved to be sub-par, don't let them screw up the rest.....
Maybe, just maybe they could pour another five or six on top of the whole thing with rebar...........
