How so?    Hog trucking rates never go down.  Fuel goes up, rate goes up.   Fuel goes down, rate doesn't go down.    

And you never have to worry about not being paid, it gets deducted from the hog check at the packing plant.    Doesn't matter how much money the hog guy is losing, the trucker gets paid 1st.




Agreed. The only way it's a loser is if the trucks are sitting because A) you charged too much or B) did a crappy job of livestock care while they were on your wheels, so you lost customers. If you do a good job at B, and you're in the ballpark for A, you'll be busier than you want to be.

All it takes is to care.
