| “Brics didn’t make US farmers increase their production costs in the form primarily of land costs.”
Yea them I-staters got a little carried away buttttt
It wasn’t long ago I could buy glyphosate for 15$ a gallon instead of 30$
It wasn’t long ago I could buy potash for 240$ a tom instead of 450$
It wasn’t long ago that a new planter with all the bells and whistles was less than 125k
It wasn’t long ago that interest was 2% instead of 8%
It wasn’t long ago that hauling my grain was .15 cents a bushel and not .30
It wasn’t long ago that insurance premiums….
It wasn’t long ago that farmers were forced into paying high prices for gmo seed because if they didn’t buy it and their neighbors drifted on them it would take them out
IT WASNT LONG AGO
I do agree with most of what you say but like blaming land prices when that equity is what’s going to keep them afloat aintttttttttttttttttttt that bright imo. It’s like you haven’t actually priced inputs ???
