Blanchester, OH | I also installed MSE a couple or three months ago because of Ed's recomendation. The install went well and I think it is working as advertised, but anti virus is one of those tools that one only really knows when it DOES NOT work. So far, I have had no infections while using the product.
However, I do have a problem with the software. It will not download updated virus definitions. The only way I can stay current is to delete the program from my machine and download the complete program again. If I do that it will download the virus definitions once as a part of the install but it will not update after that. It brings up a dialog box with an error code and says It cant download without a connection to the internet. The connection is present using an EVDO Air Card through a wired connection to my Cradlepoint Router. | |
