S Illinois | They absolutely did. Famers are the ones that bid land prices and rent above the return of that land. Inflation doesn’t change ratios. “You should buy land when it’s available and you can cash flow” it come to mind. So we decided land control is more important than return.
As to foreign investment, companies and citizens are always investing in other counties. That’s what free trade, capitalism and arbitrage does. The biggest foreign investment in Brazil actually has been from the US as US citizens and companies see opportunities to make money in Brazil.
