Pete Taylor was a fantastic play by play announcer. Loved listening to Cyclone games with him on the radio. My heart sank when I heard he had died. Jim Zabel was a great personality and Hawkeye fan but his play by play announcing skills were average at best.
Thats why Ed was such a fabulous sidekick. I like John Walters on cyclone network.
