Just guessing but- I'm wondering if that's figuring opportunity cost on the land.
I have family that is one of those "unicorns" and depending on how stuff yields and what price he gets for the unpriced grain going in the bins it's possible he might not end up with much more than what it could have been rented out for.
Hope not-but I think it's possible.
Figuring opportunity cost is a good way to never farm lol
