The Waterloo Boy was probably rather crude and needed to be completely replaced.



I'm not much of a two-banger enthusiast, at least from the aspect of having to make a living with them.   But maybe an hour before sunset this evening, I was about six feet from a nice example of the Waterloo Boy that was driving around the Old Threshers grounds.  Even if green tractors aren't your jam, that thing is a piece of history to feel real respect for.  

And it's definitely crude compared to an early D. But similar I'd say to the technical progression through models of the other companies that managed to have an evolution that survived the 1920s and the Depression.
