Faunsdale, AL | Got a call from my bank a month ago. Said there’s a suspicious check has come through on my account. I said how is it suspicious? Well it’s printed and you have never had any printed checks. Yeah, it can’t be something I wrote.
So when can you come in and sign the affidavit that it’s forged? I was out of the state and wouldn’t be back for a day. She said they would return it without the affidavit so the bank that had taken it could have the extra day to stop the loss.
It’s a real problem. The holds are one way to combat it. | |
