Wisconsin | Polio was common before pasteurization, but it either didn't cause outbreaks of disease, or there were so many other diseases that it didn't get noticed. Just like the Taliban doesn't care too much about polio, because most of those affected have such poor sanitation, that polio has a hard time competing in the bacterial soup. The western world cares about eradicating polio, not the taliban or hamas. | |
