| If one was lucky and got hailed out, the spray guy messes up, or just plain messed up marketing could do it here. $4 corn at 200 bushel is only $800 and acre. Probably has $650 in out of pocket costs and $150 in machinery would be easy enough.
HERE, if I put in the rent I hear about I would loose money most years.
It also depends on how you figure profit.
IF my paid for ground was worth $10,000 last year and is now worth $8,000, it is a pretty safe bet you lost money on paid for ground.
