Air ride was mostly a Stand Up thing at that time. Until cabs were introduced, nobody needed an Air Ride Seat.
Its true a lot of time was spent standing more so than sitting on the old cabless tractors. Standing gave you more leverage to crank that big old manual steering wheel on the turns. A friend has his dad's D on display in his yard in this photo I took earlier this year. My dad had one just like it but that one is long gone.
