Near-north Ontario, French River | If your area is anything like ours( im in Ontario, not that it matters) but few med students want to go into family practices. Long hours, very hectic and relative to specialists the pay is much lower. Used to be as you described here as well, same day or at worst a 2 day wait, if it was something minor. If you needed stitches or had an ear ache you just went to the office or called and they'd get you in the same day. Now I call and they are booked solid for a week, often times 10 days or more. |
