Subject: Sugarcane nitrogen needs, Brazil and aviation fuel

West Central Illinois

How much nitrogen is applied in sugarcane production? Not that I’d ever grow it, but trying to figure out how Brazil can grow it, ferment it into ethanol, and export it here and qualify for Sustainable Aviation Fuel credits. Not interested in a political discussion, just looking for numbers.
