I have some farms that test above average to higher on phos and am planning to take advantage of that this next year and skip phos app on this to save some.

My question is, is there any value in applying a minascule amount of P, like 50# of map? I do not have liquid on my planter, but will sidedress with liquid. Would there be any value in 5 GPA of 10-34-0 in sidedress as opposed to the MAP and see any ROI?

IMHO, 5 gallons in the middle of the row wouldn't do much other than making you feel better. You would be paying more per unit of P versus dry in an attempt to maintain your levels. Ydropping it, you possibly could see some benefit. If its a rented farm that requires you to replace what you remove, then it comes down to whether you think you will be able to replace it at a later time for less.

Take care.
