Southeast Colorado | Glyphosate has only been a grass killer here since even the early 90s when I started farming on my own.
I do think my Dad paid 80 or 90 bucks a gallon for it back in the 1970s when it first came out. Around here it was advertised as a bindweed killer. Everyone just had patches here and there, and you'd go out and spray them by hand.
It didn't work. It would burn the bindweed back, but it didn't kill it long term. Fast forward a decade from then, and people had full qtrs of bindweed. But that was due primarily to the emerging popularity of the sweep plow. Nowadays with lots of chems sprayed...........bindweed isn't quite the issue it used to be.
But I reckon I've gotten off topic here.............so I digress.
