But the real difference between now and then is the skyrocketing costs of things like parts and supplies, repairs, farm labor, insurance (non-crop), fuel, utilities, and cost of living(if you use that in your budget). All stuff that will never go back down
Guess we were typing pretty much the same thoughts at the same time.... Undoubtedly, somebody will be along to say "oh but the yields are so much better now" and that will be somebody who hasn't farmed a lot in the vicinity of northeast Missouri. |
