I am not too smart I guess. I understood Unwin to say that with diabetes the liver retains too much salt and when you go low carb this no longer occurs. Does that mean you can eat extra salt until you almost reach as much as the liver had retained?
Most doctors will agree that both obesity and too much salt can contribute to hypertension.

When I have leg cramps, it usually means I am low on salt and I pour a little into my palm and lick it off and the cramp goes away. Today I had too much salt for lunch and I knew it because I became thirsty.
