EC SD | SMCI buys NVDA chips to put them into server racks and enclosures, then sells these assemblies to the real end customers. Dell is also doing the same server building activities, and others too.
Some execs may go to prison for breaking export laws, of course, but I doubt there will be any disruption to the operations of SMCI from these "accounting irregularities". The end customers may shift future orders to Dell or others, but they are eager to have their current orders shipped in the months ahead, and SMCI has all the right incentives to build those products and ship them per the contracts.
