You also note that you don't consume "sweetened milk products". Even if milk isn't sweetened (eg chocolate milk, ice cream), milk and dairy products also contain carbohydrates that will also affect your blood sugar.
It really is a fairly simple process that our body has to keep us going. And that process is quite well understood by the medical community. It's just that there are many nutrients that are needed and in short supply with a very strict keto diet. It's takes a lot of diligence to make up for those nutrients if you are going to be on a very low carbohydrate diet.
Thank you. I reduced my milk intake substantially and only consume 2% reduced fat milk in small amounts occasionally. No cheese anymore. No potatoes. |
