Subject: RE: Yield monitor vs weigh wagon when comparing hybrids

West Kentucky
If a person takes the time to maintain accuracy with a yield monitor, I would rather use yield data from monitor when evaluating hybrids. We have scales on the cart so have the ability to notice when something is off. I find it more reliable than simply taking what hybrid a or b did in a couple of strips. If a person had time to weigh many strips than that would change my opinion. With that said, we rarely split the planter anymore due to it being more difficult to set the dryer to do a satisfactory job.
