NW Indiana | No that is a 20-30% loss on the ears that have dropped. I would say as of now its somewhere in the 20% of all ears have dropped in that 40 mile stretch. It wouldn't shock me if that number is 30% by the end of the day. A few more hotter days with a chance of rain friday so maybe it pushes 40-% of all ears dropped by then? Just completely guessing at this point but no doubt the crop wasn't made 6 weeks ago.
The field I shared the pictures of I would say the ear drop is already over 50% so a 10-15% loss on total yield at this point. | |
