NW Indiana | Yeah and for those questioning the stage the dairies haven't even started chopping silage yet which they start at about 3/4 milk line. I believe some are starting today or tomorrow. So ears dropping at this stage is likely a 20-30% loss. I just got home from a 40 mile drive NW in which most are sitting about an inch for the month, its astonishing how quickly a green crop is giving up with now tons of ears hanging. | |
