Redwood Falls, MN | I haven't stripped much COC but if I was doing COC, strip till would be my first option. You keep all the residue on the surface and out of the seed bed plus less of your N used to break down that residue. Stay in the middle between old rows and if your unit has row cleaners, set them aggressively to move the residue. My Niffty Ag P-40 units did a better job than the Yetter Maverick units, due mainly to the larger row cleaners in front of the center coulter vs the smaller ones on the Yetter behind the center coulter. This also left more room between the coulter and shank and had much better trash flow and less plugging.
