East of Broken Bow | We are needing a new wind guard for our Case RBX462 baler. Ours has some missing fingers, welding shops we have talked to all said that those are special steel they can't make us new fingers, have to get the whole wind guard.
Long story short, ordered the part from Case, and it won't fit. Ours is 70" overall width, the one they sent is about 80" wide, and the fingers are shaped differently. I'm pretty sure it is a mix up at Case, but our parts guy called all around, and everywhere he finds gives the same part number, and every Case warehouse that has that part number has the wider wind guard.
Our baler has the 5' wide head, with the single stuffer bar, apparently there were 2 different width of heads for this baler, and I'm guessing they keep trying to send us the one for the wider head.
Does anyone know of a salvage yard that perhaps would have one?
I was told the baler was made by New Holland, does anyone know the corresponding New Holland model number? Perhaps NH would have the proper part number in their listing. It is pretty frustrating when they list it as a current available part, but send the wrong one, with no idea what the proper part number might be.
ETA: The website says it is part number 86634560 but we don't know if that is right for sure
