NW Indiana | CEC avg is around 10 on that field. Subsoil would have some clay and sand to it. 11 inches in 6 days but a lot went down the tile. Typically when you get 37-40 inches a year it makes a pretty descent field but 6 weeks with an inch just doesn't cut it with a big crop sucking moisture and then a hot spell. Also I wouldn't say deep roots like a lot of dry years because the vegetative stage had reasonable rainfall. | |
