I split planted a lot of pioneer with becks corn (I avoided syngenta germplasm) and lots of times the becks would win on the yield monitor, and eye appeal, just to end up losing out in total yield or $$$/acre. Becks has some good products, but “here”. Pioneer seemed to have an edge, and would win with test weight.
That having been said, I’ll not plant pioneer corn again, lots of Wyffels the last couple years and been satisfied.
Are yield monitors that inaccurate that they would win on the yield monitor but lose out in total yield? |
