| There’s been a few Iowa guys in the last week not crying wolf or pumping the market. They have a very legimate reason for concern. From say Charles City on down to Cedar Rapids, and maybe even Iowa city, north to south. Don’t know how Far East it goes but I’m guessing most of the way to the big muddy. That area is suffering badly. That’s a large swath of the heart of Iowa, basically the middle third, east of I35. Ain’t nobody gonna be bragging from that area. It looked good three weeks ago. Not anymore. That part of Iowa ain’t exactly billygoat country either. There’s been a lot more bushels lost in the last couple weeks than been gained, that is a fact. Our crops 30-40 miles north of where this starts have improved over the last three weeks, benefiting from 3 inches spread out over the first ten days of august, but not nearly enough to offset the damage already done in the area I described.
