Rent for 2024 was $375
Hard to ask fo or get reduction when land is still renting strong/selling strong...That land would be maybe $10-15k acre? So significantily less than interest & taxes.
Not a sharecropper ,but maybe the fairest deal is 50/50 ,everything split, including land taxes
Renting land is like when my son worked for a division of Toyota & I asked him about how their bidding formula's worked as they supplied many non Toyota auto plants with product. He says "we bid it as low as we think we need to ,to get the contract and then figure out how we can do it for that price" .... kinda like us farmers at land auctions
Realistic rent with todays COP probably should be around $200 ,but that doesn't happen |
