Corn - market price x 65 = rent
Soybeans - market price x 20 = rent
Find those numbers and then average the 2 together
Corn - $4.30(dec 25) x 65 = $279.50
Soybeans - $10.27(nov 25) x 20 = $205.40
$279.50 + $205.40 = $242.45/ac for a “fair price”
You’re probably not going to get a “fair price” because for some reason many farmers justify their stupidity by saying “just pay max price and make nothing” for most years. This keeps rent/land inflated. So you’re probably gonna have to be closer to the $279.50 mark and pray soybeans rebound enough to make it work | |
