EC SoDak | That’s an estimate, but I can play along. black dirt, manure, and had more rain (7” total frost out to blacklayer) with a couple being well timed rains, cooled off to more normal temps mid July, and lots of sun for photosynthesis. Ultimately the reason last year, when good areas of IL were worried mid June about rain, I figured they had plenty of time when it hadn’t been all that hot. Good dirt can hold on a long time.
