SWMN | Thankyou for your well thought out reply. You sound like you operate pretty much as I did for 49 years. Older but well maintained machinery and comfortable but modest life style. As I said I have no quarrel with you, do not take this personally. My only point is we all wanted input prices lower but the large companies have the power so we resort to the softer place of single person land owner to really negotiate with. Usually a retired farmer who still has a desire for another farmer to do well because we know the challenges of farming. Even land management companies will get a higher rent because of controlling more acres for rent, but I won't go there for many reasons. My land doesn't have to be the highest priced ticket but I like to be in the same arena. | |
