EC SoDak | This year I planted SS/Q Dekalb and Pioneer, both have stood pretty well over the years for P and last couple for Dekalb. My biggest gripe is the cold germ was junk with Dekalb this year. To your point, Pioneer historically had standability issues, but have appeared to work through that.
In the doldrums I planted a lot of conventional corn with good success, may just have to go back to that for next year on the COB acres, 4/5 corn probably should have SS/Q, but I’ve had very little bug pressure this year on my traps and roots look fantastic. That’s a difference of 130-150 a unit vs 280-320 unit.
