It’ll be interesting to put together our COPs for the next year. I haven’t started convos about rents yet, I’d like to see how yields turn out this fall first, but those will need to adjust down since the board tanked. Commercial fertilizer is up from last year it appears, generally I like to fall fertilize, maybe a guy plays the wait and see game for spring. I’ve told my typical seed guys not to call if they’re demanding flat to increased pricing, that makes zero business sense to me. Chems I’m still waiting on pricing, but am told it’ll on average probably be flat to a little less. Luckily I’ve kept equipment costs in line as I don’t love buying iron like some. Although it’ll be interesting to see what the custom combiners come up with for costs, maybe a guy can pick up some harvest equipment for a decent price by the time I have to worry about that for fall of 25.

All in all, I started my career in the high cost and tanking grain markets environment, so I’ll just dust off that playbook.
