The issue is the folks who come around every two years and claim to be fiscally conservative to earn our votes so they can stay in office go back to DC on the day after the election and vote to spend more money. There is but one party in DC its the uniparty dedicated to self dealing no matter what. That is their only guiding principal. The DC swamp (Federal bureaucracy) is there to keep them in check, If anyone goes too far off the reservation the Secret police (FBI, CIA etc. quickly bring up all of the dirt in their past and they shut the F-up) The few that continue to speak out and actually vote to control spending have nothing that they can be blackmailed over but its so few they can accomplish nothing.
In the 1980's Reagan and Tip O'Neil had to make a closed door deal. Tip would allow the tax cuts but would never cut spending. Reagan promised not to use any executive power the cut spending. In a way its how politics of getting something done is accomplished.
Want to change this?? Stop voting for incumbents and D's.
