Fruita CO | Bon Ami isn't baking soda, it’s a cleaning product with very fine abrasives. One of the old-school mechanics tricks for rings that wouldn't seat. John Deere sold it in a little bottle. They discontinued it when they decided it did more harm than good, just kept wearing on the engine...better ring technology and break-in procedures made it unnecessary anyway.
