Embarrass WI | I have a couple, a Winchester 70 walnut/blue, and a Ruger M77 laminated/stainless. They both shoot well. There's some recoil but it's a hunting rifle. I used my Ruger to kill a moose in Alberta last fall.
If you want one, get one. If you decide later that the recoil is too much for you(which is unlikely, you portray yourself as pretty tough)you can always sell it again.
