Virginia | There was a post several weeks ago about coolers. I don't know if it was discussed, but ya'll need to check out " lifetime" coolers. I bought a 55 qt one the other day from Walmart for $109.
Packed it today around 12 noon. Put 2 bags of ice and a bunch of chicken, deer burger, lunch meat, a ham, 5 pounds of bacon gallon of milk etc.
Put in the back of a 2020 chevy 3500 under a tonneau cover and drove to the Outer Banks. Wife takes forever to get ready so the truck sat in the broiling sun until 5pm. We finally got on the road, and I just checked it to see if I needed to carry up to condo or get in the morning. I opened it, and it has hardly melted. It's been 12 hrs and has hardly melted. I'm really impressed.
The truck is a dark color and you can hardly hold your hand on it when in full sun. I can't believe it has hardly melted...in 12 hrs
Ya'll need to check out lifetime coolers. They say made in USA
It's 1 am and I had to run down and get some Capri sun for my son. I went on and got a couple pics. 13 hrs in the heat...
I'll include a picture of truck to show the color. In the morning I'll get a picture of the cooler
