There’s a case of whose fence was it? A lot of times fences are shared but one landowner or the other actually owns it. Depends who put it in years ago.
I guess if he puts the fence back in on the previous line I wouldn’t be too upset. Plant your self a new hedgerow on your side inside the fence. He can maintain the fence since it’s his.
it was his fence as it goes around the backside of his property.
