Yes!!!!!!! The land will go up in value more than the Ira.
The opinions on this site are a bit confusing. I asked a few weeks back on the cafe about a potential purchase of some land. There wasn’t one that said I should hesitate one bit. Pretty much everyone said I should act immediately to get it bought. Yet then I read every day on here that ag is going into a multi year dumpster fire and land rent and land values will have to adjust lower. So pardon my ignorance, but is the consensus that ag prices will decline but land will stay strong??
Or is land going to set back to adjust to the reality of the economics?? I farmed through the 80’s and saw land prices decline by 50% after several years of toilet level prices. But ultra high interest rates had much to do with that as well. But I will argue with the statement that the land will go up more than the IRA at this point in time. |
