I understand what you're saying about the sliding collar on the PTO, but it's an improvement over the big plastic collar connections JD had on their haybines in the '70's. (?)
The collar was almost as big as the plastic shielding over the U joint.
It had a button on the side that needed to be depressed so the spring loaded collar could be pulled back.
I don't know how many implements had them or how long they were used, but clumsy and awkward doesn't begin to describe them for me. | |
