It is one thing if you have your own facilities.

What about the guy who has to haul to the elevator?
Why would he harvest at 24%, and pay for 9 points of drying (10 in some cases) at 3 cents per point? That would take your $3.60 harvest price down to $3.30. Does insurance cover that cost, as well? I ask that because around here, corn seems to be behind, and will be wetter than normal at the normal harvest date. Wouldn't one be better off waiting until it is 18 or less, as we normally do, before hauling into town?
