SW Iowa, Clarinda
I am not an economist, simply a farmer in sw Iowa( about 2k acres) , and I don't keep up on our soybean exports.as much as I should, but when will Brazil eventually not have enough soybeans for export? Will it be in 2 months if they stay dry like they are today? Will that spark some US exports during our typical soybean harvest? I am trying to understand how the prices of these commodities have went so far south with little changes year over year. I do understand we have a.very large crop coming on and world stocks will be large....but man we have had a big swing.
I am glad I didn't upgrade equipment but I still have land payments to make.
Looking for a bright.spot.
