Subject: RE: Vegetable oils - Pub Med

n. Illinois
The whole saturated animal fats being the cause of cardiovascular disease was a theory pushed by a Professor from Minnesota called Ancel Keys.

He was in his day a scientific bully. He somehow got enough clout and power to destroy the reputation of anyone who would attempt to push the alternative theory which was Sugar ( sugar is the real problem its a poison to your metabolic health ) was the culprit and not saturated animal fats.

Mr Keys presented a study showing countries that had lower Saturated Animal fat consumption had better cardiovascular outcomes. But he cherry picked his countries. If you looked at the chart that he did of many countries you see nothing but gibberish. IE no correlation at all.

Mr. Keys did the ultimate random Control trial in the late 1960's or early 1970's using the population of state institutions in Minnesota where he could completely control the diet of the subjects. He cut out the animal fats and replaced it with vegetable oils etc and guess what the folks that got the animal fats had better mortality outcome and the control group that did not get animal fats. In layman's term he disproved his own theory. So what did the good gentlemen do??? He hide the results from the world. He never published the fact that his theory was completely wrong and our so called experts go down the whole replace Saturated animal fats in our diet with seed oils (vegetable oils) and sugar etc. and now we have an epidemic of diabetes and other metabolic disease. But he didn't actually destroy the actual raw data. So after he died someone did find the data and analyzed it and published it showing indeed that those who consume saturated animal fats lived longer. So in the end the study John has pointed too will be ignored and we will continue to hear that saturated animal fats is bad for you because an entire Industry has been built upon the lie that Saturated Animal fats are bad for you and there is too much money to be made.

So much for the scientific process in this country. The science is whatever the person funding the study wants it to be. Remember that its the same in all areas. Climate studies, Vaccine research, feed additives Fertilizers etc. You need to understand who is funding the so called research because none of its unbiased.
