central - east central Minnesota - | Hick - 8/23/2024 06:40 Sell the equipment and hire it out. Around here none of the town ships own any equipment. They hire it done, roads get bladed twice a month for a set fee. Most of the blades are old and the people running them are doing it for some extra spending money. I don’t think you could do a cheaper or better job with an employee and owned equipment. Location makes a big difference. Put over a 100 vehicles a day on a road and see if you can get by with 2 blading a month. Same with snow plowing - location, people expect to get in and out (like the state and county roads allow) of their town roads, not when it is done snowing and the old "One and Done" plow method. So, location does matter with advice to OP |
