East of Broken Bow | Why did Biden sign EOs to reverse the policies that were already in place and at least sort of working? There is a reason immigration under Biden went up more than 4X than it was before.
Then we had a couple years of 'there is nothing we can do without new legislation', suddenly there were a few EOs signed so that the current administration could brag 'we cut illegal immigration by 40%;. So which was it, nothing they could do, or cut it 40% without legislation?
Also, did you actually look at the immigration bill? Basically it said that if illegal crossings exceeded a certain number that the administration had the option to do something about it (curbing it was not mandatory in the bill no matter how many illegals crossed) and the bulk of the money went to new government bureaucracy, and not security, and that was just one of the many problems with it. These days it seems impossible for Congress to just write a bill that addresses the problem at hand they say they want to address. Instead, more time, money, and effort is spent on stuff either not related to the problem, or not necessary to address it. | |
