Subject: Or did USDA overestimate last years crop also?

dg25 - 8/22/2024 23:05

I need to find last years numbers. They did come up with 173 or close last year after messaging the numbers. So they ended up being low. Do they adjust year over year change like they tell us to watch with their 173 number or 177 usda number last year? Lot of drown outs in Iowa, SD, and MN mentioned by Chip’s western tour. Might keep yield high and total production lower. I will keep my sources over Joe and Biker Bob any day.

Theres been a lot of commentary that last years crop was overestimated also.. maybe the tour wasn’t as far off?

I HIGHLY question the 3 billion bushel on farm stocks number.. “the number which makes all the other numbers work”. It’s a backed in number..

Maybe they got Illinois correct?  But we wouldn’t have the basis we do if USDA was right on last years crop size.

They have 23/24 at 1.8.. I’d bet 24/25 is gonna be there also.. we’re 50 cents under priced with the funds keeping us down here..
