Northern Wyoming | Yes, I have had the PAE procedure. My prostate was over 100 grams and my doctor said the TURP was not an option and sent me to another doctor for an 'open prostatectomy.' The second doctor said I could go with the PAE which was a welcome choice. It was very post op as to take it easy.
The procedure took time to produce the wanted effects. It seems it to a couple months for prostate to shrink enough to allow the bladder to empty properly.
It lasted several years, and when voiding urine became a problem again, I was able to have a laser (PVP_Prostate electro vaporization of prostate). But was able to not have open surgery.
I needed the PVP again and things now are much better. | |
