Subject: Dr Nadir Ali, dopamine arousal and food addiction

Pittsburg, Kansas

Diamond in his presentation mentions something Dr Ali had brought up at this particular conference. Thought I would look up that presentation and see what Ali had to say. Here is the link to the presentation Diamond was referencing. It has to do with dopamine and why some people are addicted to certain foods. And how food companies use the research to make products that "you can't eat just one".

As a comment to Diamond's presentation linked above, this is one of the best I have listened to. All the things in prior presentations that I have picked up here and there he brings all the pertinent information together in this one offering. An outstanding summary of the available research on the value of information from lipid blood tests.

One of the three books he recommends at the end of the lecture. I have not read it. https://www.amazon.com/Ketogenic-Science-Therapeutic-Carbohydrate-Restriction/dp/0128216174#mce_temp_url#  Not a cheap book! 550 page textbook.
