Iowa | Yes, I was gonna say that as well. I think their routes missed the worst stuff. Most of the rainfall ran along Hwy 18 corridor, basically straight east/west. Running primarily north/south like they did- I don’t think they saw most of the waterlogged acres - they saw the damage from flooding downstream, but that’s like 10% of the bushels lost. If you look at the counties involved there’s some pretty heavy hitters - Iowa doesn’t make it near 200 with most of those counties 30-50 bpa off normal. Sioux, Lyon, OBrien, Osceola, Emmet, Palo Alto, Kossouth - are all usually top 20 yield wise- 3-4 of them get into the top 5 very regularly. | |
